Privacy & Cookie Policy

1. Privacy Policy

What we collect

GetGenuineDeals.com does not require an account to use the site. We only collect personal information when you choose to give it to us — specifically:

• Email address — only if you set up a "Price Watch," so we can notify you when a tracked product hits your target price.
• Standard technical data — like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and performance purposes.

How we use it

Your email address is used solely to send you the price-drop alert(s) you requested. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties, and we do not use it for marketing unless you separately opt in to that in the future.

Where your data is stored

Price Watch data is stored securely with Supabase, our database provider, using access controls that prevent the public from reading other users' email addresses or watch requests.

Third-party links

Our site links out to Daraz.pk and other online stores. Once you click through to another website, that site's own privacy policy applies — we have no control over, and are not responsible for, how third-party sites handle your data.

Where our product data comes from, and its accuracy

Product names, images, current prices, ratings, and stock/sold figures displayed on GetGenuineDeals.com are read directly from the retailer's own product page (currently Daraz.pk) at the time our system last checked it. We do not set, verify, or guarantee these figures — the retailer is solely responsible for their accuracy. Prices in particular can change on the retailer's site at any time, including between our checks; the price and availability shown on the retailer's site at the moment of your purchase is what actually applies.

What we do independently verify and take responsibility for is our own price history — the record of prices we ourselves observed over time — which is what we use to flag suspicious pricing patterns (e.g. a price raised shortly before a "discount").

Affiliate disclosure

GetGenuineDeals.com participates in the Daraz Affiliate Program. We may earn a commission when you make a purchase through links on our site, at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which products we track or how we present price history.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

You can request that we delete any Price Watch associated with your email address at any time by contacting us at the email below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally as the site grows. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

2. Cookie Policy

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites function properly and remember certain information between visits.

Cookies we currently use

• Essential cookies — used by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) to keep the site secure and running smoothly. These cannot be turned off, as the site would not function correctly without them.

Cookies we may use in the future

As the site grows, we may introduce:

• Analytics cookies — to understand which pages and deals are most useful to visitors, so we can improve the site.
• Advertising cookies — if we join an ad network such as Google AdSense, that network may place cookies to show relevant ads and measure their performance. Google's own policy on this is available at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

This policy will be updated before any such cookies are introduced.

Managing cookies

Most web browsers let you control or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how well parts of this site work.
